According to ESPN (link) Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, are financing North Lisbon’s University Hospital Centre (CHULN) and two more intensive care departments.

The CHULN intensive care departments will be named after Ronaldo and Mendes.  Additionally, Ronaldo is financing another intensive care department in Porto’s Santo Antonio hospital.

A representative for CHULN told ESPN that “businessman Jorge Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo will donate two intensive care wings for the CHULN; each wing will be totally equipped and will have the capacity for 10 beds.”

Resources such as ventilators, beds, pumps and other equipment will help the critically ill COVID-19 patients.

Ronaldo himself has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and has been under quarantine in Madeira. Many of his team players have also tested positive.
