Kerala woman helps blind man catch a bus, Twitter says, ‘World Exists Due to Such Kind Souls’

People are starting to realise that kindness and compassion are a few of the major elements that will save humanity from itself. There’s hope in our world and it can be best seen with stories like this of a Kerala woman.

A heartwarming gesture was captured on video. It shows a woman from the Indian state of Kerala helping a visually impaired man catch a bus that he almost missed. The lady, dressed in an Indian traditional dress called ‘saree’, runs towards the state transport bus. When she catches up with the bus, she is seen speaking to the conductor. She then runs back towards the blind man while the bus waits. She then holds the blind man by hand and helps him get to the bus.

A local news outlet was able to reach out to her. In her interview, the lady said, “I asked him where he needed to go. I needed to know if there was a bus stop there. I thought my husband, Anoop, on his bike can drop him at the bus stand.”

She added, “Fortunately, the bus came and stopped a bit ahead. I ran to the bus and told the conductor who was sitting at the back about the blind person. I didn’t think the bus would wait.”
